What $1.5 Million Can Buy You Around The Cape & Islands

It's time once again for Curbed Comparisons, where we break down what you can get at the same price point, style or size in five different Cape and Islands neighborhoods. This week, listings for $1,500,000.

↑ Kicking off in Mashpee with a waterfront 5BR, 3.5BA in Bright Coves, New Seabury. The .37 acre property features a deep water dock that "can accommodate several boats with easy access to Vineyard Sound and area beaches." Asking price is $1,495,000.

↑ Ferrying over to Nantucket, here's another historical renovation, this one architect-designed. The circa 1747 4BD, 3BA is now LEED certified with "Radiant heat in all the baths, zero clearance heat redirecting fireplace, reclaimed antique oak floors, American clay plaster walls, stainless steel appliances, tiled baths, custom cabinets and wonderful landscaping..." Asking price for the rather lovely Union Street property is $1,530,000.

↑ Finally, to Eastham. This Herring Pond 5BD, 4BA hit the market in September for $1,699,000, but an October meeting with the pricechopper brought the ask down to $1,500,000. The 2,398 square footer was built in 1986 and sits on .49 waterfront acres.
