Breckenridge Opens Friday and the Snow Looks Darn Good

Snow coverage in Colorado just keeps getting better as Breckenridge is set to open this Friday. Breckenridge has recorded 26 inches of snow in the last seven days, so it looks like skiers can expect some great groomers off of Peak 8 on opening day. The latest storm comes after last week when Curbed Ski took one for the team and skied the excellent conditions at Copper Mountain's opening day. Open Snow reports that most ski areas in Colorado have 125-150% of average snow pack for this time of year and even the US ski team has claimed that its the best coverage they've seen in years. Not sure if the snowy weather will continue for Colorado, but over the next two weeks a big storm should hit the Pacific Northwest. Winter is here.
