Modern Swiss Mansion Isn't Shy About its Bond-Villain Vibes


The term "supervillain lair" gets thrown around a lot these days, and while not every sprawling, chilly European mega-manse truly befits a Bond bad guy, this lakefront compound in Switzerland exhibits more than its fair share of the telltale signs. There's the preponderance of marble, plate glass, dark-painted walls, and tasteful modern furniture. There's the cylindrical glass elevator servicing an expansive mezzanine over the living room, a basement equipped with a Turkish bath and a showroom for collector cars, and the fact that the place is price on request. One could go on and on. The older of the two guesthouses is a bit of a fixer-upper, but what's one less-than-ideal annex when you've got 14,000 square feet of floorspace to lord over?
