The NYC townhouse formerly owned by modernist architect Edward Durell Stone just came onto the market asking $9.95M. Receiving landmark status in 1981, the home's grid-like white concrete exterior ruffled the feathers of man an Upper East Sider back in 1956, when Stone first replaced the classic brownstone façade. Indeed, it's quite the piece of history for someone who, as the brokerbabble put its, is "looking to live in a work of art." [NYT]
