Osterville Manor Is Now Hoping for $14.95 Million

Another day, another change to our map of the Cape and Islands' most expensive listings by way of Osterville.

Naturally, the blockbuster listing comes with blockbuster-worthy brokerbabble:

From its stone pillared front gate welcoming one to seven acres of waterfront privacy, to its private deep water dock and more than two additional acres of sandy beachfront on Nantucket Sound, this extraordinary 1880's-era manor provides all the comforts and amenities one would expect from a modern day world-class estate, while preserving the charm of yesteryear. The magnificent three-story main residence has been maintained in its classic Cape Cod shingle style and is accompanied by a spacious guest house, caretaker's cottage and impressive pool pavilion. Altogether, over nine prized acres and approximately 17,000 square feet of living and enclosed recreation space in four structures comprise the compound. The property hit the market in January 2012 for a hefty $17,000,000. One year later, the chopper swung into town and brought the ask down to $15,950,000. After this most recent slice, the asking price is $14,950,000.
