L.A.'s broadcast station has a run-down on the solid concrete mansion owned by American Apparel founder Dov Charney, a landmarked spread completed in 1928 for an L.A. tycoon. Per Curbed LA, the original owner was terrified of fires, to the point where he built the first floor entirely out of travertine and the doors out of reinforced steel—oh, and there are zero fireplaces. Curbed LA has the details (including a bit about the real-life hauntings), right this way. [KCET via Curbed LA]
