Aspen Skiing Co. has shut down the Silver Queen Gondola for two days as it struggles to find a replacement part. The news couldn't come at a worse time, with Aspen packed with tourists for the holiday season. A 17 minute gondola ride now takes over 40 minutes using a combination of other Ajax lifts. SkiCo is doing its best to stay positive, handing out donuts and pastries to appease skiers on Monday.
