What $950K Can Buy You Around The Cape & Islands

It's time once again for Curbed Comparisons, where we break down what you can get at the same price point, style or size in five different Cape and Islands neighborhoods. This week, listings for $950,000.

↑ Kicking off in Eastham with a 3BR, 1BA beach cottage on Cape Cod Bay. Per the listing, "Enjoy as is or start fresh..." [Insert ominous music here] meaning the 760 square footer built in 1954 could find itself on the wrong side of a wrecking ball. Either way, the half acre waterfront property is "safely tucked back" and comes with a zig zag of stairs down to a private beach. The potential teardown hit the market in September looking for $995,000 and was chopped in late October down to $949,900.

↑ Finally, to Nantucket. This 'Sconset 5BR, 2BA offers direct access to Sconset Beach and "Over 70,000 rental income in 2013." The 1,611 square footer hit the market in early November for $1,195,000 and was chopped just days later down to $950,000.
