Tour 2013's Insanely Gorgeous Design Files Open House

New, 1 comment

For a design blog as beloved as Australia's The Design Files, curating a showhouse filled with all the goodies that make readers swoon is simply the next logical step—and thank the divinities for that. The Design Files Open House 2013, which re-opened yesterday in Sydney (photos are from the Open House in Melbourne, which ended last week) is quite frankly a divine collection of all this year's design blogosphere trends: rich and happy color, gallery walls patchworked with paintings from local artists (including Kirra Jameson, whose home is a work of art in itself), and perky low-slung furnishings. In all, it's open and clean, while still preserving the youth and verve of the site's hyper-honed aesthetic. More shots below.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's a huge gallery of shots, over at The Design Files. Oh, and if you see something you like, feel free to check out the exhaustive source and supply list. It's a wondrous thing.
