American ski racer Ted Ligety became the first man in 45 years to win three gold medals at a single event this week at the World Championships in Schladming, Austria. The last man to do so was French racing legend Jean-Claude Killy in 1968, whose record of four goals Ligety has the chance to match if he wins the slalom this Sunday. [Associated Press]
