It's time once again for Curbed Comparisons, where we break down what you can get at the same price point, style or size in five different Cape and Islands neighborhoods. This week, summer rentals for $5,000/week.
? We begin in Osterville with a 3BR, 4BA that, according to the brokerbabble, "was designed by a Well Known Architect." The unnamed architect included a well-appointed kitchen, an open floor plan and, best of all for those of us with entomophobia, a deck with automatic screens. The property can accomodate up to six and is located close to Osterville Village and Dowses Beach.
? Here's a 5BR, 1.5BA campground style cottage in Oak Bluffs that sleeps up to eight. Located across the street from the beach, the water view property features old world charm "while embracing a modern and inviting decor." There's a sink in every bedroom, a front porch with ocean views and, should the desire to tickle the ivories strike, a piano in the living room.
? Ferrying over to Nantucket, we find a post and beam 4BR, 3.5BA. The mid island residence sleeps up to eight and features multiple living areas, a wet bar, porches, decks, and pond views. The Cisco property, near the Sanford Farm conservation area and the Madaket Road bike path, rents for $5,000 a week in July.
? This West Yarmouth Cape features bay and ocean views from nearly every room. The 3BR, 3BA includes access to Lewis Bay and is located close to downtown Hyannis. The property sleeps up to ten and is available for $5,250 per week.
? Finally, here's a waterfront 5BR, 4BA in Orleans overlooking Woods Cove. There's a private paddle ball court, pool table and multiple decks. The property sleeps up to ten and is available for $5,000 per week during July and August.
