Bjarke Ingels' dreams of building a Florida building and tearing it half may soon be dashed; according to the Wall Street Journal, an 80-year-old tree on the Marina Lofts site stands in the way. Ingels' firm, BIG, has proposed relocating the 60-foot-tall, 127-foot-wide tree to another spot, where it could delineate a pedestrian promenade. [previously; WSJ via Curbed Miami]
