After Two-Plus Years, Zsa Zsa Gabor Finally Finds a Buyer

New, 5 comments

Faced with the cumbersome task of having to tend to 26 rooms and more than 8,000 square feet, actress Zsa Zsa Gabor and her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, started shopping around their kooky Bel-Air, Calif., palace around two years ago, shortly after the nonagenarian's right leg was amputated. They originally wanted $28M for the mansion, and now, after months of good-natured TMZ tours, help from real estate professionals, massive PriceChops, Facebook-funded relief from foreclosure, and cameos in Oscar-winning films, the pair has finally found a buyer. According to Zillow Blog, the status of the property, which was listed for $14.9M, has just been changed to "pending"—which means the sale price is, as of now, unknown. Perhaps the home will trade hands fast enough for the new owner to host a viewing party of Behind the Candelabra—also shot within these gilded hallways—HBO's tribute to Liberace.
