Jack Nicholson's Aspen Victorian Sells For $11 Million

Jack Nicholson's 5,800 square foot, 5 bed, 7 bath Victorian in Aspen's West End closed Tuesday for $11,000,000, down from its initial asking price one year ago of $15 million. The home, built in 1890 and renovated by Nicholson in 1998 to include a screening room, sold to an LA-based private equity firm connected to Kashif Sheikh that also owns the Chicago Fire soccer team.

As the story of the home goes, Nicholson and producer Lou Adler split the buy of the home in 1980 because neither of their existing Aspen homes could get good enough reception for their beloved Lakers games. The home, alternatively named for its previous owners as the Newberry House and the Judge Shaw House, overlooks Hallam Lake from its quarter-acre lot and was entered into the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
