The Skinny: Five single-family homes have sold so far this month in Centerville, but only one of them overlooks grounds designed by the founder of American landscape architecture, Frederick Law Olmsted (1822-1903). According to the brokerbabble, the residence features, "walls of glass allowing for soothing views overlooking picturesque ponds, sweeping irrigated grounds, European specimen plantings and more than three acres of association protected land," all designed by Olmsted. The property has a quite a rap sheet of listing activity, but seems to have first hit the market in July 2012 for $849K. Needless to say, the pricechopper headed over to Fernbrook Lane on more than one occasion - five times, to be exact - and by December 2012, the ask was down to $679K. That last chop was enough to attract a buyer and the contemporary Cape with rather lovely views sold on March 1 for $665K.
