This Friday at 8 pm EST on CBS, Squaw Valley CEO Andy Wirth will appear on the series Undercover Boss, donning a mullet in order to remain nonchalant while he busts his tail as a ski patroller, lifty, mechanic, and ski instructor. According to CBS' website, Undercover Boss "follows a different executive each week as they leave their office for an undercover mission to examine the inner workings of their companies." They get to see the effects their corner office decision have on their employees and where their company is doing well or dropping the ball.
Squaw Valley is currently in the middle of a $70 million "renaissance" that has installed new lifts and has plans on the board for a massive expansion and redevelopment of the base village. It will be particularly interesting to see if any employees complain about those corporate jerks doing away with the soul of Squaw or about KSL's plans to knock down the legendary Chamois bar to make way for the new "improved" Squaw Valley.
