Watch a Video of the 400,000-Lego Hogwarts Being Built

New, 1 comment

At last week's Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, Lego builder Alice Finch unveiled a 400,000-piece Lego version of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from Harry Potter, a 13-foot-long structure that's so big, it was transported to the convention in six separate SUVs. It took Finch 12 months to build the castle—which, by the way, has 20 times more bricks even than even the most intricate Lego creation—and some three hours to reassemble it at the convention. Below: a time-lapse video of the castle's construction team piecing together its prefab parts.
