Sustainability Watch

You know you're doing something right in sustainability when the Swedish come knocking to give you props. That's just what happened when Telluride was visited by an official from the Swedish Travel and Tourism Industry Federation, who praised the town for its effort in developing a sustainable growth pattern. Of particular excitement was the town's SMARTS park, a recycling station that is trying to create a closed-loop system by accepting more recyclables and repurposing them for use in the Telluride community.
