Over in the Journal's House Talk column, June Fletcher wonders, "Is staging really necessary? And how much is too much?" Of the four stagers Fletcher invited in to assess the interiors of her DC house, listed for sale, one advised her to "put a bowl of green apples on the kitchen table for the open house.
