Telluride's Nugget Theatre re-opens today under the auspices of the Telluride Film Festival, the landlords of the previous owners, Luci Reeve and Jim Bedford, who had ran the theatre for 28 years together. Most of the old staff was asked to take their jobs back this week, although apparently old movie passes will not be accepted. The theatre, which will undergo needed technical improvements "later this year," opens with the Tom Cruise film "Oblivion" tonight. [Telluride Daily Planet]
