If the sales at One Hyde Park hadn't yet convinced the world that London's property market was running wild, then the rumored listing of 18 Carlton House Terrace should do the trick. The 50,000-square-foot limestone townhouse, said to be currently owned by a member of an Arab royal family, is reportedly asking a nearly-unbelievable $380M. A sale at that price would make it, according to The Times, the most expensive home sale in U.K. history. Located just down the Mall from Buckingham Palace, at the northeast corner of St. James Park, the house occupies a prime spot at the end of the Carlton House Terrace row, but is surrounded on two sides by unsightly office buildings. That, plus the fact that the owner is not permitting interior photography should make this place a difficult sell, but chances are another foreign billionaire will come in an pick it up promptly.
