Along with most Colorado towns, Steamboat Springs is trying to figure out how it will handle the implications of Amendment 64, which effectively legalizes marijuana use and sales in the state. Chief among concerns is " how many (retail establishments and cultivation operations) are we going to have here, and where will they be?" according to one town council member, along with costs to law enforcement and the city's attorney. The town already disallowed one dispensary from moving downtown due to its proximity to Little Toots Park. [Steamboat Today]
