Last September, word got 'round that radio personality Casey Kasem—he who voiced the American Top 40 countdown for close to four decades—was quietly shopping around his 1954 estate in L.A.'s ritzy Holmby Hills neighborhood for $42M. It's been a few months, but listing photos have finally surfaced, revealing such rich-kid offerings as a heart-shaped pool, a marbly sprawl of bathrooms (there are a whopping 17 of them in the 12,000-square-foot manse), and stuffy, overwrought interiors with tassels and topiaries aplenty. Also on the property: a grandiose circle drive, tennis court, guest house, "service wing," hair salon, bar, and "English-style" library. Will it all be worth $42M to somebody? Who knows anymore. Though, let's be real, even if the place sells for millions under ask, the owners would be making a tidy profit; Kasem and his wife bought the place back in '89 for a modest $1.725M.
