Flood Watch

Heavy rains have combined with spring snowmelt to prompt flood warnings up and down the Sea To Sky corridor. Emergency work has taken place to reinforce berms along the Birkenhead River under Mount Currie, while Whistler's local river has risen to within a meter of a Sea to Sky highway bridge and has flooded property all along its banks. Other rivers are high but not in critical danger of flooding. [Pique]
