Fun With Recreation Planning

Having bought the 145-acre midvalley Red River Ranch property this past January with a consortium of public bodies, Pitkin County is looking for public comment on how to manage it. There's the potential to connect the Rio Grande Trail to the trails of the BML-owned Crown land from Basalt, along with the potential for agriculture operations. An open house will be held in the Basalt Town Hall next Monday from 5:30-7:30. [Aspen Business Journal]
