Baseball star Alex Rodriguez dreamed up this bayfront Miami mansion around the time he was dating actress Cameron Diaz. The Yankees regular spent an estimated $15M constructing the custom love shack, complete with nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, and 19,000-square-feet of luxury. But soon after his relationship with Diaz soured, A-Rod lost interest in the property altogether, and put it up for sale for a whopping $38M, before pulling it from the market in January. It was then reportedly rented to a coterie of Saudi sheiks, before finally selling—perhaps to those very royals, but TMZ sources say a celebrity—for $30M. A-Rod may have lost the girl, but at least their would-be family home netted him a cool $15M.
