After a brutal 2012 season, ski visit numbers bounced back in a big way this winter. Totalling roughly 56 million skier visits this year, ski resorts nationwide got about 11% more visitors this year than last, while areas that were the most affected by last year's warm weather and lack of snow - the Northeast and the Pacific Southwest - bounced back 20%. The strong spring boosted late-season numbers, too. [Summit County Voice]
