Pebble Hedge, a waterfront estate on Great Island, is on its fourth price change in five years. The 9.52 acre property with 650' of private beach on Nantucket Sound features a deep water dock on Uncle Robert's Cove and 10,150 sq. ft. of living space in three residences. Oddly, the main house is unheated, yet the guest house and caretaker's cottage are both winter-ready.
According to Zillow, Pebble Hedge the first hit the market in May 2008 for $19,500,000. After a break from the market, the listing returned in March 2009 with the same blockbuster price tag. In October, the pricechopper headed to the gated community for a visit, bringing the ask down to $16,900,000. Nobody bit and in November, Pebble Hedge went off the market yet again. September 2010 brought another debut and a second visit from the pricechopper, slicing the ask down to $12,800,000. More de-listing and re-listing was followed by a third chop in April 2011. This time, the asking price fell to a not-so-blockbuster-like $7,900,000. Two years of bouncing off and on the market brings a priceupper for Pebble Hedge. The oceanfront property is now seeking $11,800,000.
