Is This Napa Mansion Really The 'Best Estate in the U.S.'?

New, 8 comments

According to the brokerbabble, this 32-room Napa Valley mansion was "recently named International Property Awards' 'Best Estate in the United States.'" Unfortunately, the International Property Awards, a real estate trade organization, hands out dozens of awards, to just about any project, so that title doesn't carry much weight. Thankfully, this stunning 20-acre property and 12,000-square-foot house don't really require much fluffing, just some quality photography. Listed for $15M, the spread boasts six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a guest house, three offices, a wine cellar, and a Louis XIV fireplace torn from a French chateau. Nice, yes. But does it really qualify as the "best estate" in the country?
