When the rendering of the proposed $550 million Mashpee Wampanoag casino project was released in April, a Curbed reader commented that the place didn't look environmentally-friendly. Behold, there's now a 1,000-plus page draft environmental impact report detailing the tribe's plan "to build a 400,000-square-foot resort casino featuring a 15-story structure, 900 hotel rooms, a 132,000-square-foot gambling floor, multiple restaurants and a 25,000-square-foot water park." The public comment period runs through July 12. [previously; Taunton Daily Gazette]
