Bad Hotel Reviews Power Hour

It's not easy finding a bad review of ultra-luxe hotels, but even those used to collecting five-star reviews sometimes end up with disappointed customers. Case in point: The Wauwinet, one Nantucket's rather lovely luxury hotel's picked up a few lone stars on TripAdvisor. One guest had understandably high expectations for $1000 per night but, "This shack was so small and cheaply constructed that it was most suitable to college- age renters on the Jersey Shore." The spa, where people drop beaucoup bucks to get wrapped in algae, have their eyes covered with flowers and such is not immune to bad reviews either. A single star reviewer wrote, "The salt scrub left a five inch strip of my back bleeding and raw." Hey, at least they got a $250 refund. [TripAdvisor]
