There's an argument to be made that TripAdvisor, the travel site most helpful for its brutally honest hotel reviews by real people, is the premier authority on the skeaziest of hospitality options—indeed the wannabe Nancy Drews across the country are eager to point out mold behind the wallpaper, the loose lighting fixtures above the bed, and all manner of rusted bathroom appliances and mattress stains. Using Trip Advisor's "America's Dirtiest Hotels" list as a springboard, we've uncovered the worst of the worst of hotel review photos, from missing door locks and fire extinguishers to shower curtains used as window treatments to cracked windows, and oh so much more.
