It's time once again for Curbed Comparisons, where we break down what you can get at the same price point, style or size in five different Cape and Islands neighborhoods. This week, listings for $675,000.
? Kicking off in Sandwich with a restored 3BR, 2.5BA antique "in turn key condition." According to the brokerbabble, the circa 1690 Cape has "all the modern amenities of today and charm of the past." The property includes a two level barn that was built in 2006 and "offers so many possibilities." The listing first hit the market in May 2010 for $799,800. After a number of price decreases and increases, the ask is down to $675,000.
? Over in East Dennis this 3,752 square foot 5BR, 3.5BA contemporary colonial features a first floor master suite, gourmet kitchen and an in-ground heated pool. Built in 2001, the one acre property is asking $675,000.
? Ferrying over to Edgartown, we find this 4BR, 3BA Mattakesett condominium. The three level waterview unit has been updated and has an "excellent" rental history. Asking price is $679,900.
? Looking for an eight-car garage? This Pocasset 3BR, 3BA has got you covered. Built in 1987 by the builder/owner, there's a 50'x30' workshop over that mega-garage, a 4,287 square foot main house and a gunite pool plus a poolhouse. The 2.4 acre property first hit the market in March 2011 for $849,000. After five meetings with the pricechopper, it's now yours for $675,000.
? Finally, over to Nantucket. The brokerbabble refers to this 3BR, 3BA as "either a starter home or vacation property." Well, we suppose $675,000 is someone's version of a starter home. Regardless, the 1,344 square foot residence in Tom Nevers West was built in 1988 and features two fireplaces, an office and an outdoor shower.
