Here's a Peek Inside Bobby Flay's Dreamy Hamptons House

New, 4 comments

Featured in this month's Elle Decor: the soft, shingle-style Hamptons house of celebrity chef and Gordon Ramsay nemesis Bobby Flay and his wife, actress Stephanie March. The custom-built spread in Amagansett, N.Y., may boast a Gold LEED rating, an easy collection of less-than-chichi furnishings—March purged the stuff from Flay's old bachelor pad in favor of suzani textiles, Moroccan side tables, and furnishings from Restoration Hardware and Design Within Reach—and a gorgeous screened porch with a fireplace, but the real highlight, as one may expect, is the kitchen (above). "I stand at my kitchen island from the minute I get out here to the minute I leave," Flay, who spends much of his time at his NYC abode, told ED.

For the kitchen, Flay and March—who's best known for her role as assistant district attorney Alexandra Cabot on Law & Order: SVU—got to start from the studs, so the teal spread is pretty much the stuff of dreams, with a commercial 10-burner stove, two ovens, a griddle, a fryer, a salamander (basically a commercial broiler), plus a farm table and two bistro sets. "I love that my kitchen is technically a restaurant," Flay told ED.

Elsewhere in the house, March had full reign, bringing into the master bedroom (above) a vintage suzani coverlet, long sweeps of beige bed curtains, and reed-and-leather floor mats.

She outfitted the aforementioned sun room—"you can't the Texas out of the girl," writes ED—in living room furnishings like iron daybeds and a coffee table from Pottery Barn. "I spend almost all of my time in it—or in the pool," she said.
