Zagat's Chris Walsh put together a quick guide highlighting 9 hotels that have moved past in-room dining to offer seriously creative and good on-site dining for traveling foodies. Luckily for us, three of the nine were in ski country. Here's who made it from Ski Town USA:
· San Francisco restaurateur Michael Mina's new American beer hall in the Four Seasons Jackson Hole, Handle Bar, is praised for its copious selection of international beers and whiskey, its succesful twists on pub food, and its Stout Float made from Snake River Brewing Company's Stout and an ice cream infused with Wyoming Whiskey.
· Another of our Essential 38 ski town hotels, the all-inclusive Dunton Hot Springs near Telluride, made the list for its pre-prepped barbecue available for guests that want to "cook" their own dinner. Staff prepare and season a variety of kebobs and will even clean up afterwards.
· Burlington's Hotel Vermont also made the list for the farm-to-table menu at its Hen of the Wood restaurant, which features duck sausage and local cornmeal polenta, and goat milk dumplings among other Vermont-inspired dishes.
