Former Nautica CEO Lists Sporty Long Island Estate for $7.5M

New, 4 comments

The historic, 8,650-square-foot mansion at the heart of the Five Chimneys estate in Old Westbury, N.Y. wasn't quite enough for former Nautica CEO Harvey Sanders and his sport-loving family. The clothing industry titan—who serves on the board of Under Armour and the University of Maryland—built a full-size indoor basketball court on the estate, in a 3,000-square-foot sports pavilion that also includes a gym, billiards room, and kitchen. The sprawling property also boasts two guest houses, an outdoor swimming pool with cabana, and 5.6 acres of elbow room. Now the Sanders family seems ready to move on from their athletic paradise, provided someone ponies up the $7.5M asking price.
