It's time once again for Curbed Comparisons, where we break down what you can get at the same price point, style or size in five different Cape and Islands neighborhoods. This week, listings for $1,000,000.
? Kicking off in Hyannis Port with a 4BR, 5.5BA "resort style estate." The 2+ acre property overlooks Schoolhouse Pond and features a three-level 3,812 square foot residence with an elevator, a swimming pool, clay tennis court, and "horticultural park-like grounds." Asking price is $995,000.
? Now over to a Martha's Vineyard 3BD, 3A in Vineyard Haven. This 1,982 square foot residence was built in 1978 and features a gas fireplace, solarium style dining room and a deck with a built-in gas grill. There's also a guest suite with a wet bar and bath above the two-car garage. Asking price is $995,000.
? This waterfront Eastham 3BD, 1BA neighbors last week's PriceSpotter and it too is "nestled" in the dunes overlooking Cape Cod Bay. The 1,600 square foot home has a wood burning fireplace, tongue and groove ceilings in the living and dining rooms, a large loft area, and a waterside deck. The property originally hit the market in 2011 for $1,350,000, but three pricechops and one priceupper have brought the ask down to $999,000.
? In Provincetown, this 3BD, 3BA is asking $999,000. The property features a 2,651 square foot main house, a carriage house and a two-car garage.
? Finally, a ferry ride over to Nantucket. This 6BD, 5BA includes two separate buildings, creating what the listing refers to as a "custom family retreat." The main house features a chef's kitchen, fireplace and a loft. The property first hit the market in 2011 asking $1,249,000. Two pricechops have brought the ask down to $998,000.
