Location: Two Harbors, Minn.
Price: $2,300,000
The Skinny: If enough guests show up, even the largest summer house can feel a bit constricting, so why not spring for an entire resort? That's the question posed by the listing of this Minnesota lakeside hotel, offered "as a business or a family compound" for $2.3M. The Breezy Point Resort consists of a dozen cottages on 12.3 acres, with more than 1,000 feet of private waterfront, all situated about three hours drive north of Minneapolis on Lake Superior's northern shore. The rocky coastline doesn't offer up broad sandy beaches, but several of the cabins have stairs to access the water. The property is hardly fancy, but does provide the opportunity to experience the lake the old fashioned way. In fact, this classic resort has been in the same family for more than 100 years.
