Richard Gere's Hamptons Manor Asks an Ambitious $65M

New, 24 comments

Actor Richard Gere—of Pretty Woman and Primal Fear fame—has just listed his 6.3-acre estate in North Haven, N.Y., for a pearl-clutching $65M. What's it offer? Well, for one, the 1902 property is known by Strongheart Manor—and wouldn't you know that every well-heeled American just yearns to say, "Ingrid, mon petit chou, let's take the children to the manor today, the city place must be aired out for the summer." As far as the property itself goes, Curbed Hamptons calls the place "fairly unpretentious but very nice," not exactly the words one expects when describing a $65M Hamptons manse. The main house boasts about 12,000 square feet, 12 bedrooms, and 12 bathrooms, while elsewhere on the property, which boasts over 300 feet of waterfront, are "rolling lawns," "flowering gardens," a teahouse, a pond, and two guest houses. Do take a tour, below.
