Former Harvard Investment Manager Lists $15M Cape House

New, 2 comments

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Osterville, Mass.
Price: $14,750,000
The Skinny: Perched on the edge of Nantucket Sound, this idyllic Cape Cod compound has been serving as the summer home for Philip J. Dubuque, formerly a highly-paid portfolio manager at Harvard Management, the firm that controls the Ivy League university's now-$32B endowment. Dubuque, now retired from the firm, snapped up the $8.75M Boston townhouse formerly owned by auto dealer Herb Chambers in 2011, but is looking to part ways with this preppy summer compound, asking $14.75M. Built, or at least substantially rebuilt, in 2008, the 7,800-square-foot mansion sits on 2.76 wooded acres, with nine bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a boat house, a beach house, a swimming pool, and a one-bed carriage house.
