Eighty-one years ago a death left a family so stricken by grief that they refused to make any changes to their little house in Northern England. The oil paintings, abundant doilies, and heavy furniture stayed exactly where it was, and the kitchen kept the same butler's sink, turquoise stove, and bright green walls. Even the pantry remains stocked with tinned food of the 1930s. AOL's Wallet Pop has photos of Mr Straw's House, now a museum, right this way. [AOL Wallet Pop]
