From 1945 to 1966, Arts & Architecture magazine recruited the likes of Richard Neutra, Charles and Ray Eames, and Eero Saarinen to build inexpensive model homes around L.A. county, hereby establishing the city as a hotspot for midcentury architecture. It's been half a century, but 11 of the Case Study Houses have finally made the National Register of Historic Places. On the index of the newly landmarked?
