Over on The Peak of Chic there's an eye-popping set of images taken inside Albany, the famed London residence that's been called home of the years by politicians, royals, poet Lord Byron, and decorator David Hicks. The photos, just as grainy as one would imagine, were originally published in the 1975 International House Tour issue of House Beautiful, and offer a rare glimpse into a famously private building. For additional shots from the House Beautiful archives, check out Curbed's Back Issues series. [The Peak of Chic; previously]
