Private Estate on Secluded Fijian Island Heads to Auction

New, 6 comments

A 46-acre estate on the remote Fijian island of Wakaya will be auctioned in October without a reserve, after previously failing to find a buyer for $12M. The waterfront tract, known as Rai Ki Wai, or "View over the Sea," includes 23,000 square feet of living space spread over six independent bedroom pavilions, three "Fijian-style guest bures," and a giant thatched-roof main house with 4,200-square-foot living room and 5,000-square-foot master suite. Lest the natural beauty of the tropics not be enough to captivate guests, there are also a "lighted tennis court, boulez court, volleyball court, gym, [and] infinity pool." Potential celebrity buyers will be happy to know that the island is accessible only by boat, helicopter, or private aircraft, and that "no uninvited guests or paparazzi allowed to land or dock."
