What should the price tag for a new Hyannis fire station be? Earlier in the year, consultants estimated the cost at $25.5 million, but the building committee gave that plan an immediate thumbs down. The new goal is under $20 million, but not everyone at last week's meeting was impressed by that target: "You've sold me nothing?. This is extravagant. We are the poorest, perhaps, village in the town, and we're going to have the grandest Taj Mahal. Bring the cost not to $17 million but $12 million, $13 million, $14 million."
