Construction Fences Go Up At Park City's Main Street Mall

The Park Record is reporting that construction fences have gone up around the Main Street Mall in Park City in anticipation of a sizable renovation that will redo the Main Street facade while converting the upper three floors to residential units, with floorplans ranging from 1,500 to 3,500 square feet and a top-story penthouse. Eight retail storefronts will remain on the first floor facing Main Street, but the interior retail spaces that had so much trouble pulling customers off of Park City's main boulevard will go.

Local architects Elliot Workgroup have been hired for the project, and has announced they'll be putting in a rooftop pool along with gardens and patios. The Main Street Mall redevelopment marks another significant renovation for Park City's Main Street, following in the path of others like the Silver Queen Hotel who are similarly converting existing building into a mix of retail, condos, and penthouses.
