"Hair stylist to the stars" Sally Hershberger—famous for crafting Meg Ryan's signature do, the "Sally Shag," and for charging $800 for a haircut—has just listed her gorgeous midcentury spread in Beverly Hills for $6.9M. The New York-based Hershberger purchased the property in 2004 for $2.4M, but then spent two years, and a fortune, restoring the 1961 classic with the help of Swift Lee Office Architects and interior designer Carole Katleman. Located in the coveted Trousdale Estates neighborhood, the 3,600-square-foot house was designed by midcentury icon William Stephenson, a Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice who became the favored architect of Ronald Reagan and a legion of other Hollywood stars. Built of textile block, the low-slung three-bedroom residence opens onto a swimming pool and dazzling views, but Hershberger didn't spend much time here, instead opting to rent out the property for much of the past five years.
