Crowdfunding For Proposed "Snow Bunnies" Bar in Breck Fails

Last Fall, a crowdfunding campaign to raise money for the launch of Snow Bunnies Bar & Grill in Breckenridge came up far short of its stated goal of $250,000, raising only $1,000. The plan, hatched by two college buddies now with family and kids and tiring of years of corporate drudgery in Denver, was to open an aprés-ski bar with a "rustic, casual ski-lodge atmosphere" where the servers were certifiable ski bunnies, i.e. "natural, girl next door types that love the mountain lifestyle." Beers would span a selection of micro-brews while signature cocktails would revolve around those that could be imbibed from a shot ski, and food would revolve around locally-sourced items like trout cakes, Kobe beef sliders, steak chili, and braised beef ribs all cooked up by a Cordon Bleu-trained chef.

Unfortunately, the failure of the crowdfunding campaign means the pair had to head back back to their day jobs for the season, although that's not to say a ski town bar whose appeal is based on cute servers can't work; both the Mangy Moose at the base of Jackson Hole and half the bars in Whistler are known for their hot all-female wait staff. "Snow Bunnies" is an awful name, though; even "Coyote Ugly" would be better. What mom would agree to take the family there so dad can ogle the servers?
