According to the Vineyard Gazette, "The third time might be the charm in Edgartown's quest to sell the Warren House, a run-down North Water street mansion." The town purchased the historic property in 2004 for $3.5 million as part of a planned expansion to the library next door. Alas, a new library will be built elsewhere and residents voted to sell the circa 1790 fixer-upper with a $2.5 million minimum bid (a.k.a. $1 million dollar loss). The first two rounds of bidding failed to produce offers anywhere close to the ask, but now two potential buyers are offering $2.5 million. Stay tuned.
