The Best Ice Cream on Cape Cod, According to a 9-Year-Old

CAPE COD - Holliston native Libby Stott, all of 9-years-old, gave herself an important assignment this summer, finding the best ice cream on Cape Cod. Stott developed a ranking system (with a spreadsheet) and headed to Four Seas Ice Cream in Centerville, Gone Chocolate in Osterville, The Ice Cream Smuggler in Dennis, Steve & Sue's Par-Tee Freeze in Hyannis, Sweet Waves Self Serve Frozen Yogurt in Mashpee, and Sundae School Ice Cream in Dennisport. Spoiler Alert: the latter was the over-all favorite. [Boston Globe]

Health inspector Ron Tolin has given his notice, writing "To allow a restaurant with eight or more critical violations to remain open even for one day is shameful and I do not want to be associated with a food-borne illness or outbreak."
